Phase 5 / 2-8° C

If the temperature-sensitive product must be maintained within 2° – 8° C, the Phase 5 TCP is filled with a material that undergoes phase change at 5°C. This is exactly in the middle of the desired range. Because it can hold 5°C longer than a conventional phase change material (which undergoes phase change at 0° C, and has very little heat capacity at 5°C), significantly less material is required. In addition, the phase change material can be placed in direct contact with the temperature sensitive product because there is no risk of freezing. This reduces the size of the final package because no dunnage or air gaps are required.

TCP Panel

Flexibility
The Thermal Control Panel (TCP) can supplied as individual pieces to provide thermal protection or can be connected to form a larger panel or protective cube.

Until now, 2-8 degrees Celsius has been very difficult to maintain because wet ice or standard gel packs hold the temperature of your product at 0 degrees Celsius or less. Although conventional refrigerated Gel Packs can help prevent the product from freezing, they limit the transit time and create an unnecessarily large parcel. Phase 5  keeps your parcel small and light at 2-8 degrees Celsius for every shipment.
