• Conditioning Environment

  • Freezer

  • Refrigerator

  • Incubator

• Temperature Monitoring Device

  • Thermocouples with data logger

• Simulation Environment

  • Programmable environmental chambers

Thermal Package Testing Set-Up

• Condition the package components prior to the test to their proper initial temperatures

• Pack the product into the shipping container as if for the actual shipment.

• Apply temperature sensors to product locations of interest and begin monitoring and recording results

• Program the environmental chamber with the temperature profile and begin the simulation

Analysis of Results

• Results Acceptable: Present Design Results to the Customer

Thermal Package Qualification

• Testing for approved design is repeated in triplicate

• Qualification report is issued
